Day Two Of A Stone Carving Course With Brian
Day two of a Carving Gargoyles And Grotesques course with Brian.
Brian has decided that he’d like to carve a grotesque to be mounted on a wall; the stone we’re using, Maltese limestone, is light enough to be able to do this by drilling a hole in the back.
The top of the stone is still flat as he’s undecided as to whether he’d like to use it as a bracket or small shelf to place a pillar candle on.
Brian hasn’t carved stone before, but as can be seen, he’s got a good grasp of working in a three dimensional space.
